Ratha Yatra - 2022
The word ‘Ratha Yatra’ refers to an event in which deities travel out of their temples in a Ratha or Car through a set route. This is an opportunity for the devotees to have the darshan of the deities on the very roads they traverse everyday.
The Jagannath Puri Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Devi is very famous worldwide. The Hare Krishna devotees conduct Ratha Yatras annually in cities around the world and is a grand festival.At the Hare Krishna Prasthanam centre in Thrissur, devotees conduct an annual Ratha Yatra for their Lordships Sri Jagannath, Sri Baladeva and Subhadra Devi with 100s of devotees pulling Jagannath’s Ratha. Here are a few glimpses of the Ratha Yatra conducted by our devotees in December 2022.
