The proposed temple will be located in a 60 cents plot in the China Bazar area of Valappaya on the Valappaya-Pottur road. Valappaya lies to the North of Thrissur, off the Shornur-Kodungallor road at a distance of 9 kms from Thrissur City. The site has 47 metres of frontage on an 11 metres wide road. Surprisingly, it has an exquisitely mesmerising view of paddy fields at the rear end. The attractive part of the land is that it has abundant water.

The temple will be built on the lines of the Jagannath Mandir or Sri Mandir in Jagannath Puri, Odisha. It will have a grand Garba Griha (Sanctum Sanctorum) where the Deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Devi would reside along with other deities. A towering Shikhara just like the Jagannatha Mandir Shikhara, would rise from the top of the Garba Griha embraced by the all-powerful Sudarshana Chakra on the top.

A grand circular-shaped hall will receive devotees in the temple. Apart from being the darshan area, it would be the venue for grand sankirtans and festivals too. Many other facilities would come up along with the temple or in the course of time to facilitate more temple sevas and for the convenience of devotees. Being a community project, we are constructing residential apartments too for devotees to live and perform various sevas. Any Krishna devotee, from any part of the world, willing to adhere to sattvic principles of living, can book an apartment and reside.

The residential apartments or Nivasa will offer the following facilities:

  • 24-hours power and water supply
  • Water disposal Unit
  • Rainwater harvesting unit
  • Mini medical Clinic
  • Recreational Facilities
